In order to take the Yomassage Therapist Training and practice Yomassage, you must be a licensed massage therapist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, or chiropractor, or enrolled in one of these programs. Yomassage classes are more intimate with a 5-1 ratio and up to 8 clients if the therapist has a Supporter allowing clients to receive more hands-on time. Clients receive light to medium Swedish Massage and other massage and tissue manipulation techniques. Mindful Touch classes are up to a 10-1 ratio and use light mindful touch techniques, but no tissue manipulation. This training is appropriate for anyone in the wellness industry who wants to hold Mindful Touch classes or learn more about mindfulness and deep relaxation. It's especially popular for yoga teachers, meditation teachers, nurses, physical therapy and chiropractic assistants, and personal trainers.
Yes! Our goal is to ensure your success as Yomassage Therapists and we want to provide as much support as possible to accomplish this. We have a password protected portion of our website where Yomassage Therapists have access to administrative forms, flyers, logo, etc. that are available for you to use. We also list you on the website as a Yomassage therapist and list all of your classes on our events page. We are constantly doing our own advertising increasing brand recognition and demand for Yomassage classes. Our number one priority is helping you be successful with your Yomassage classes!
For the IN-PERSON training you will need 1/2 set of Yomassage props and for the VIRTUAL training you will need 1 full set of Yomassage props. These are the props needed to complete 1 full set: 1 Yomassage Mat, 2 Yomassage Blankets, 2 Foam Yomassage Blocks, 2 Yomassage Bolsters, 2 Yomassage Balls, Yomassage Hand Sanitizer. The Yomassage Mat and Yomassage Balls can be found on our website, and the other recommended products are linked in your confirmation email.
This training is eligible for up to 25 CEUs depending on your state’s requirements. 10.5 hours are approved by NCBTMB.
